Meet Your Advocate
Alex Kutzke
Alex Kutzke is a Fergus Falls native who is deeply committed to helping individuals and families navigate the Social Security Disability process with clarity, compassion, and respect.
After growing up in Fergus Falls, Alex spent several years living in Oregon, where he built his family, earning his paralegal degree in Portland, getting married, and welcoming two beautiful daughters. It was during this time that Alex began his career in Social Security Disability advocacy — work that would quickly become more than just a profession.
For over eight years, Alex assisted clients through every stage of the Social Security Disability process, from initial applications to appeals. At his previous firm, he worked closely with clients from start to finish, gaining firsthand experience with every part of a claim. This comprehensive background gave Alex a deep understanding of the SSDI and SSI systems, as well as the challenges individuals face when seeking benefits.
What drew Alex to this work — and what continues to motivate him — is the impact it has on people’s lives. Helping individuals gain access to income they need in order to survive, maintain stability, and preserve dignity is at the heart of his advocacy.
When Alex and his family returned to Fergus Falls to pursue a slower, more connected life, he quickly noticed a lack of local support for community members navigating the disability process. Recognizing this need, Alex decided to open his own small advocacy firm dedicated to serving the people of Fergus Falls and the surrounding area.
Today, Alex works alongside his wife, Natasha, who serves as Administrative Assistant and Marketing Coordinator. Together, they advocate tirelessly for community members, support individuals who are struggling, participate in local events and celebrations, and help spread awareness about resources available to those living with physical or mental disabilities.
Otter Tail Social Security Disability Advocates was built on the belief that no one should have to navigate this process alone — and that local, compassionate advocacy can make all the difference.
If you’re unsure where to begin or whether you qualify for Social Security Disability benefits, help is available.
